Giant driftwood on the beach at La Push, Washington (2010)
this made me feel really uneasy, the ocean is terrifying.
its like when cats bring home a dead bird and drop it at your feet except the ocean is like I HAVE BROUGHT YOU THIS ENORMOUS TREE FROM THE DEPTHS OF HELL ENJOY

I am biased against this because I used to be the smart kid but I do not find this to be funny at all. When I “finally” failed a test, all of my classmates except for my one best friend were making a huge deal out of it. They acted as though it was something unthinkable. They were looking at me as if I had grown another head. It made me feel like I wasn’t allowed to get a bad grade. I had to be perfect, or else I was weird. In the end, I was so stressed because of the pressure I even considered commiting suicide. It wasn’t pressure from my parents, they were okay with it. It was from my classmates who couldn’t grasp the fact I was only human.
So please, I’m begging you, if you have this smart classmate and they fail a test, do NOT laugh at them, do NOT insult them, do NOT make a big deal out of it. We’re all humans, we all make mistakes—don’t take this entitlement away from us.
this has happened to me before. i had to leave the classroom before i could start crying. please don’t ever ever ever do this. the “smart” student is probably one that is so hard on themselves, it’s awful. they’re already violently berating themselves in their head, why make it worse?
I can’t begin to describe the hurt when someone grimaces at you and says, "But I thought you were supposed to be smart." AND YOU REALIZE THAT ALL YOU EVER WERE TO THEM IS THE “SMART KID” BUT NOW YOU’VE FAILED THAT AND YOU ARE NOTHING YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO MAKE MISTAKES WHAT ARE YOU???
And all the while, you’re still in shock from having gotten something wrong in the first place. Your whole world is burning and everyone around you is pouring gasoline.

Cast members who have played minor roles in the televised Doctor Who universe who have gone on to play major ones (and vice versa). No other show has as dedicated or rich a history of reusing talent, and it really wouldn’t be the same without it.
This doesn’t even include people like Lohn Levene, whose face was hidden when he played Cybermen and Yetis before taking on the recurring role of Sergeant Benton; or Naoko Mori, whose earlier appearance in Doctor Who was retconned into being Toshiko Sato, the same character she plays in Torchwood; or the dozens upon dozens of people who have played aliens and multiple one-off characters in a variety of stories throughout the show’s history, in both the classic and new eras (sometimes even both).
That would be nigh on impossible.
